Walacor Sponsors GMU Challenge+X Hackathon

Building the Future of Trusted Data

This Saturday marks the kickoff of Challenge X, a 10-week hackathon at George Mason University where students, entrepreneurs, and technologists will build solutions to some of today’s hardest problems. Walacor is proud to sponsor the event, bringing our vision of provable integrity to the next generation of innovators.

Every hackathon is about creativity and speed. But in today’s world, innovation must also come with trust. From fintech to AI, supply chains to national security, decisions are only as good as the data behind them. Walacor exists to ensure that data can always be trusted, traced, and verified.

Hackathon participants will explore Walacor’s platform and tools including the core data engine for immutability and lineage, the Python SDK for developers, the Data Tracker CLI for data scientists, and visualization utilities like FiVe. With these tools, teams can focus on what matters most — solving big problems — while Walacor ensures the foundation of integrity.

Over the next 10 weeks, we’re excited to see how student teams apply our platform to reimagine what trustworthy applications can look like.

At Walacor, we believe innovation and trust go hand-in-hand. That’s why we’re here, to back the builders of today who will shape the systems of tomorrow. Follow along as we share updates, highlights, and outcomes from Challenge X.

Walacor Post-Quantum Readiness

Quantum-Resilient Data Integrity for Public Sector Missions

Post-Quantum Readiness Must Protect the Data Itself  The public sector is entering a new phase of cybersecurity modernization. Quantum computing is no longer treated as a distant research topic. It is now a strategic planning issue for agencies, defense organizations, system integrators, and mission owners responsible for protecting sensitive information

Provable Data Integrity

Banks Need More Than Backups. They Need Provable Data Integrity.

Banks are based on trust. Every customer record, transaction, payment instruction, loan file, compliance artifact, risk model input, and operational log depends on the assumption that the underlying data is accurate, unaltered, recoverable, and defensible.  Financial institutions already invest heavily in cybersecurity, backup, disaster recovery, access control, logging, data governance, and regulatory reporting. These

Zero Trust Needs a Data Integrity Layer

Zero Trust Needs a Data Integrity Layer

For more than a decade, cybersecurity has steadily moved toward Zero Trust. The principle is simple. Trust nothing. Verify everything.  Organizations have invested heavily in identity management, multi-factor authentication, device posture assessment, microsegmentation, privileged access controls, and continuous authorization. These capabilities have become foundational components of modern security architectures. Enterprises are
